Feed your FACE LADIES.

I am obsessed with all things that have to do with beauty and making you look your best. Though makeup is a great way to do this, there are many secrets right in your house. They can be found in YOUR PANTRY. That's right, your pantry has many MANY items and can be your very own personal drugstore. First off, lets talk about fruits and vegetables. Produce is key to hydrating your face and providing it with the essential vitamins and minerals to give your skin that healthy glow. They help your skin exfoliate itself and repair dead skin cells, they help provide collagen, which prevents against aging, and they give you an overall GREAT complexion. I have to admit, I tell myself this, when I feel like passing up that salad for lunch! Whatever works for ya right?

The saying "you are what you eat" is very true. If you give your body nutritious foods, you will see the difference. Fruits and veggies are essential to not only feeling your best, but looking your best. They're low-cal and store powerful vitamins and antioxidants that will ensure that your skin will look the best it ever can!

1. A great book that I absolutely LOVE is called the BEAUTY COOKBOOK, which shows you dozens of recipes you can make for your skin right at home! You can find that here:

2. A great diet you can follow/article you can read can be found here (It's one of my favorites): and here:

3. Want to feed your face right now? All you need... EGG WHITES: These protein pack foods are great for your foods too! You can more than for more than just scrambling.

Egg Whites for an Instant Facelift Method: Mix egg whites together in a small bowl; apply to your face. Let dry and wash off. Verdict: It works! Egg whites contain proline, an amino acid that serves as a building block for collagen. Egg whites contain more proline than most foods we eat, making this facelift a winner.

Another great one? GREEK YOGURT. You can thank fage for this one

Next time you wanna throw that extra scoop of yogurt or forkfull of egg whites away, DON'T. Instead....
Just put it on yo' FACE!

  1. LOVE this post!! I have been soing at home facials for years. I use honey, oats, and avocado all the time. I have also used lemon, which smells soooo delicious! Ill admit I have never used egg whites though!
You are totally right when you say you are what you eat. When all you eat is greasy pizza abd fries, how can you expect your face to look any different? I love eating fresh and watching the transformation in my skin. I used to have REALLY dry skin, but with all the fruits and vegies I eat now, it has totally balanced out!!

  3. I LOVE THIS POST! I tried a hair strengthening I found it online before andddd I read the measurements wrong lol. It was a egg mixed up with olive oil and something else I don't remember but you soak in on your head for stronger, shiny hair. I put too much olive oil in and it didn't come out of my hair for like 3 days and stunk haha!

  4. Food beauty products sort of scare me but the yogurt one doesn't sound too bad. Although I usually don't have any left for my face...haha

  5. What a creative idea for a post! I'm just now starting to try my hand at all natural ingredients for skin care and get away from make up etc. Have you ever tried making your own shampoo or conditioner? I wanted to try baking soda + water? Also, the egg white thing is awesome. I will probably try that tonight! Thanks!

  9. Ooooo, great topic! Food is definitely one of the absolute best beauty tool whether you put it in your body or on it. I really need to get around to making at home face masks because I hear they're great.

  10. Ahh! I've recently been looking into changing my diet for the benefit of my skin. I'm 28 and break out just as much as when I was a teen, and nothing prescription-wise and/or topical has worked. Hopefully the power of food will work its magic!
